Christmas card
Bertie the swallow is my Christmas tribute to Gilbert White, the father of ecology. In his book The Natural History of Selborne, he wrote:
'The hirundines (swallows) are a most inoffensive, harmless, entertaining, social and useful tribe of birds; they touch no fruit in our gardens; delight, all except one species, in attaching themselves to our houses; amuse us with their migrations, songs and marvellous agility.'
This is a greeting card in size 5x7 inches.
