Summer Dance in Giclée Print by Michelle Morris
With dragonflies dating some 300 million years ago, they are one of the most fascinating and enduring species in existence. With their vibrant metallic colours and uniquely patterned, seemingly translucent stained-glass like wings it isn't a surprise that they are featured in 18th century chinoiserie. I do think they are exquisite, mysterious and stunningly beautiful.
The flowers in this piece are part of my Nostell Priory inspired series of watercolour works.
