Archival Print

Undercover in Giclée Print by Michelle Morris

This captivating scene features a little yellow breasted bunting which was once most abundant in Asia. It has been classified endangered in 2013 mainly due to loss of habitat.

Yellow breasted buntings are monogamous and solitary nesters. They breed in wet meadows with tall vegetation and scattered scrub, and riverside; they winter in cultivated areas, rice fields, reed beds, and grasslands.

I really enjoyed painting this piece as it reminded me of our colourful birds in the Philippines. In my opinion it's best displayed as a pair with 'Summer Dance'.
