A Custom Silk Paper Silhouette Portraits

Part of our new bespoke range, these silk paper silhouettes are reminiscent of the popular art of capturing portraits in the 1700s to the late 1800s. Whether cut from paper or, more rarely, painted onto glass, ivory or plaster, back then the image was drawn by the artist as the sitter posed by a large sheet of paper with their shadow cast by candlelight.
Delicately embellished with mother of pearl, our silk paper silhouettes are carefully mounted unto handmade cotton rag paper with deckled edges. Timeless and elegant, they are uniquely crafted from your photo and are therefore perfect as wedding keepsakes, anniversary presents or simply beautiful heartfelt tokens. We also accept individual and children's portraits.
To order, simply indicate the quantity of portraits you wish to be made, and send one picture for each that is of high quality and is just their profile. A mock up will be emailed to you and once you are happy with the image, production of your customised silk paper silhouette shall proceed.
